Coryell County Mud Drags General Rules

1. A vehicle may be allowed to run in more than one class, however, the vehicle may be allowed to run classes higher than the primary class it is permanently registered for. If at a later date a driver wishes to run just one class; he must run the class he permanently registered for.

2. Only the driver & co-pilot will be permitted to ride in the vehicle during the race, both must sign a liability release.

3. Entry fee for driver and truck will be $35.00 for all classes. Pit crew and all other persons entering pit area will pay $10.00 pit admission fee. Any person entering the pit must sign a liability release. No refunds under any circumstance.

4. No alcoholic beverages allowed in the pit area. Persons caught consuming alcohol in the pit area will be escorted off the property.

5. Registration for all vehicles will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Vehicles not weighed in by 1:30 p.m. will be placed last in race order.

6. Races start at 2:00 p.m.

7. There will be a three minute time limit for the vehicle to approach the starting line after their name/number has been called. If unable to stage in time you will be disqualified.

8. Once your vehicles is staged and the stage light comes on, you cannot back up and restage. For safety reasons, rules will be enforced.

9. Every vehicle must have good operating brakes.

10. All weights must be securely fastened to vehicle. If any weight is lost during the race you will be disqualified.

11. You must have a fully charged fire extinguisher in vehicle.

12. You must have a 5 point safety harness for all classes except stock which must have at least the factory seatbelt with shoulder belt.

13. Open wheel base vehicles are recommended to use arm restraints.

14. All participants must wear helmets.

15. Any vehicle going out of bounds will be disqualified. The judges’ decision will be final.

16. No driver or co-pilot will be allowed to consume alcohol at any either time prior to, or during the races. Anyone found violating this rule will lead to the disqualification of the team.

17. Judges will check to be sure that all vehicles meet the requirements of their class; including general safety requirements.

18. Everyone in the pit area must have a pit pass and sign a liability waiver. No one under the age of 14 is allowed in the pit area after the races start.

19. Roll bar and drive shaft loops are required on all classes except stock.

20. Drivers suit required for all classes except stock.

21. Attention: All drivers must start deceleration immediately at the finish line. In the attempt to clean the tires: you must come to a complete stop then burp throttle, and then you may proceed into the pit area. Continuing to accelerate through the shutdown area will not be tolerated. First offense will result in a warning. Second offense will result in a possible disqualification of the run prior to the offense. This rule is for everyone’s safety and will be strictly enforced!

22. Absolutely no excessive acceleration at any time in the pit area. Idle speed only!
